Hackensack Meridian Children’s Health is seeking a dedicated, board-certified Pediatric Neurologist to join our esteemed and expanding team at Hackensack University Medical Center. This is an exceptional opportunity to become a member of the top-ranked pediatric neurology and neurosurgery program in New Jersey, as recognized by the U.S. News & World Report ‘25-’26. At our core, we work closely with families across New Jersey to care for children with conditions affecting the brain, spine, muscles, or nervous system. From infancy through adolescence, our mission is to provide specialized testing, diagnosis, treatment, and long-term care focused on helping every child feel their best and reach their full potential, no matter the complexity of their condition.
Program Highlights & The Practice Environment
You will be joining a comprehensive and highly integrated practice that sees the full spectrum of pediatric neurologic diseases. Our collaborative environment includes:
- Fully integrated programs including Pediatric Neuro-Oncology, a Neurofibromatosis Program, and a Tuberous Sclerosis Program.
- Close collaboration with our comprehensive Epilepsy Program and Pediatric Neurosurgery Program.
- Partnership with our Neurosurgical colleagues and their Nurse Practitioner for advanced management of spasticity patients, including Baclofen Pumps.
- Fully staffed, on-site Genetics and Developmental Pediatrics Programs to support holistic patient care.
State-of-the-Art Facilities & Resources
- Advanced Imaging: Two on-site MRIs (one is a 3-T magnet) supported by a team of 8 Neuro-Radiologists.
- Specialized Inpatient Units:
Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) adjacent to our 15-bed PICU.
40-Bed Level IV NICU (with a Fellowship Program) and 10 Transitional Nursery Beds.
Hematology-Oncology Inpatient Beds.
General Pediatric Inpatient Beds with ample overflow capacity.
- Dedicated Pediatric Emergency & Day Units:
Pediatric Emergency Room staffed by dedicated Pediatric ER Physicians.
Pediatric Day Unit adjacent to the ER for infusions and short-stay procedures.
- Advanced Surgical Suites: Dedicated and fully equipped Pediatric ORs, including Neurosurgical Stealth Systems.
Requirements:
- NJ Medical License, CDS and DEA
- M.D./D.O. degree from a recognized Medical or Osteopathic School
- Successful completion of fellowship program
- Board Eligibility/Certification by the appropriate Board and subspecialty board
- Have or the ability to obtain a New Jersey Medical License
- The successful candidate will have a commitment to outstanding pediatric care.

- Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered.
