Job Summary:
The Nurse Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in managing clinical operations for a 168-bed long-term care facility. This overnight position oversees four units with a mix of long-term, short-term, and dementia care residents. The Nurse Supervisor ensures high standards of patient care and compliance while coordinating assessments, admissions, ER transfers, and interdisciplinary collaboration with medical providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise nursing staff and care delivery across four units during the 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM shift
• Perform head-to-toe patient assessments and manage admission protocols
• Facilitate ER transfers in collaboration with medical providers
• Conduct second checks on physician orders and admissions
• Ensure accurate documentation using PointClickCare E-MAR
• Maintain compliance with NYS nursing standards and BLS protocols
• Oversee care plans for a resident mix, including long-term, short-term rehab, and dementia care
• Monitor unit acuity levels and adjust staffing/resources accordingly
• Provide hands-on clinical guidance and performance supervision

Required Experience:

• Proven experience in a supervisory RN role within a long-term care (LTC) facility
• Proficient in PointClickCare electronic medical records (E-MAR)
• Current NYS RN License
• BLS certification

Nice-to-Have Experience:

• Experience working with dementia patients
• Familiarity with mixed-acuity patient care
• Prior work in a large multi-unit LTC facility
