Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are a well-established, state-of-the-art neurology practice located in the heart of Lynbrook, NY. Our dedicated team of professionals focuses on providing high-quality care for patients with neurological conditions. We are seeking a compassionate and driven Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team with a particular emphasis on dementia care.Position Overview:
As a Physician Assistant at our practice, you will work closely with patients primarily dealing with dementia, providing medical assessments, developing treatment plans, and supporting the management of their conditions. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients while working in a collaborative and non-acute care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct patient assessments, including taking medical histories and performing physical exams
· Work closely with our neurologists to develop personalized care plans for dementia patients
· Monitor patients’ progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary
· Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding dementia care and available treatments
· Assist with routine follow-ups and documentation in our user-friendly electronic health record system
· Enjoy the benefits of no on-call responsibilities or hospital work
Qualifications:
· Physician Assistant (PA) licensed in the state of New York
· Experience with neurology or dementia care is preferred but not required
· New graduates are welcome to apply
· Compassionate, patient-centered approach with excellent communication skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
