Postdoctoral Position Choroid Plexus Brain-CSF Barrier (University of Pittsburgh, PIND)
A postdoctoral position is available at the Pittsburgh Institute for Neurodegenerative Diseases (PIND), University of Pittsburgh, to study brain inflammation through choroid plexus brainCSF barrier alterations in stroke and vascular dementia (see recent studies in PMID: 35413993, PMID: 39256783). Projects (funded by NIH1RF1NS138146) use animal models, 2D/3D cell cultures, imaging, single-cell transcriptomics, and molecular assays.

Applicants must hold a PhD/MD, have 12 years of experience in animal models and surgical procedures, and demonstrate strong independence, multitasking, communication, and writing skills.
