- Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Description
The Cerebrovascular Aging and Spin Labeling (CASL) Lab is soliciting applications for a postdoctoral fellow to join our research group in the Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging. The formal appointment would be as a Research Fellow in the Department of Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Harvard Medical School (HMS). The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to an NIH-funded study involving the use of arterial spin labeling (ASL) MRI-based methods to answer fundamental questions about how higher genetic risk for Alzheimer’s disease influences microvascular function in the brain across the adult lifespan. Additional training opportunities will be available broadly (1) in the development of MRI methods for imaging cerebral perfusion with high-field and high-performance MRI systems and (2) in the translation of hemodynamic imaging methods to clinical applications through close collaborations with physician-scientists at MGH.
Requirements
- Ph.D. (or equiv.) in imaging science, neuroscience, engineering, or a related discipline
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English
- Prior experience with perfusion MRI and/or other functional MRI techniques (preferred)
- Prior experience with conducting human subject research (preferred)
