The incumbent will work closely with the PI and in collaboration with the MARMO-AD multi-disciplinary research team involved in investigating primate specific mechanisms that are the molecular and cellular root causes of Alzheimer's disease inception and progression using translational approaches in aging marmosets and marmosets with genetic risk for Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. The successful candidate has a background in neuroscience with extensive expertise in marmoset cognitive behaviors and blood based biomarker analysis, must be self-motivated, passionate, organized, have great interpersonal and leadership skills, and have a solid base of knowledge of advanced scientific principles in the fields of marmoset behavior, cognition, and Alzheimer's disease.
Job Summary
Supports researchers through all aspects of the research process and oversees the development, creation, and implementation of reports, processes, and guidelines. Creates and leads research design training programs and identifies needed resources and services. Creates development strategies. Maintains databases and provides guidance and support.
Essential Functions
Basic scientific laboratory work at the bench space. Repetitive pipetting, Handling mice. Must have good eye to hand coordination, excellent visual acuity, and manual dexterity. Must be able to reach/stack consumables on shelves and occasionally move equipment.
Physical Effort
Must be able to move swiftly between testing rooms; be able to lift and carry 15 pounds.
