Frontier Senior Living is now seeking an outstanding Health Services Directors (RN) to manage and oversee the Health Services Department for Pelican Pointe Assisted Living community located in Klamath Falls, OR. Demonstrated success as a leader in similar settings is required of the Health Services Director (RN).
We are currently offering a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus for this position!

The Health Services Director (RN) works closely with the Executive Director and Resident Care Coordinator to ensure the quality care of all residents. The Health Services Director (RN) requires an understanding and commitment to the principals and values of the community and must demonstrate flexibility with residents who have complex situations. Responsible for the assessment and service planning process to ensure Resident care needs are evaluated. Will provide training and oversight of the Medication Techs and Caregivers. The Health Services Director (RN) position requires a caring nature and willingness to care for the elderly.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to appropriately delegate responsibility with necessary authority without relinquishing overall responsibility and accountability for the delegated task.
- Demonstrated ability to identify problems in a timely manner, develop effective resolutions to those problems and ensure implementation of the proposed resolution, confirm results and revise as necessary.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implements interim service plans in partnership with the Resident Care Coordinator as care needs change and assures all Med Aides/ Licensed Nurses are in-serviced
- Provide oversight and required documentation for third-party providers for coordination of care
- Conduct routine audits amongst other departments as directed by the Executive Director
- Implement systems and protocols per company standards along with state, federal, and industry regulations while remaining compliant. To include but not limited to Infection Control Practices, Assessments, Resident monitoring.
- Maintain compliance practices per state, federal, industry, and company regulations and have ongoing knowledge on regulation updates and changes.
- Becomes familiar with the service plan program and all of the reports it can create
- Orders incontinent supplies as well as durable medical equipment as needed.
- Assures home health, hospice and ancillary care providers communicates their visits and provides necessary documentation of their visit
Completes MAR audits - Monitors the medication room to assure organization and cleanliness
- Assists with tracking and recording incident reports. Assures the incident investigations are completed.
- Works as manager of the day as directed by Executive Director
- Maintains a monthly budget for the Health Services department
- Maintains and tracks that all health services staff have the necessary training required for their job such as CPR, First Aid, and dementia training, if applicable
- Full staff management responsibilities for healthcare staff including hiring, training, performance reviews, counseling and discharge, if necessary.
- Complete delegation training, assessments and documentation per state guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with clinical budget in all aspects: staffing and supplies
- On-call for clinical support to the community and staffing to cover shifts if the need should arise.
- Other tasks as assigned
Other Requirements:
- Must have appropriate nursing licensure (i.e., Registered Nurse (RN) - must be an RN, other nursing licensures are not accepted at this time). License must be active and in good standing.
- Proficiency in English preferred
- Receives and maintains CPR certification
- Experience in clinical nursing practice or long-term care administration preferred but not required. New grads welcome!
- Demonstrated ability to appropriately delegate responsibility with necessary authority without relinquishing his/her overall responsibility and accountability for the delegated task
- Must possess a current state-specific driver's license and appropriate driving record
- Must be able to easily lift and carry 50 lbs.
