Position Summary & Primary Responsibilities

The Regional Director of Health and Wellbeing provides regional clinician leadership and oversight in developing and executing The Water’s clinical, programmatic and quality plans and objectives for all communities. The position will formulate and implement strategic and tactical plans that will support a delivery of resident care services consistent with our mission and vision. The Regional Director will assess, plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate nursing practice at the community level and as a member of the senior leadership team. This role combines a high level of autonomy with a high degree of accountability for driving results and for effectively supporting The Waters vision for immediate and long-term objectives in the senior living space. 

The Regional Director of Health & Wellbeing is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, utilizing courtesy, dignity, and respect in all of the following responsibilities:

Business Strategy & Values

  • Provides overall leadership for all Health and Wellbeing
  • Oversees the company-wide service and program options that will reinforce the culture of wellbeing through home care services
  • Leads the articulation, refinement, and implementation of home care best practices for accepted clinical practices as well as discovery of new care paradigms for home care services
  • Partners with corporate leadership to develop a financially feasible home care model unique to the marketplace

Vision & Strategic Development

  • Develops and implement diversification and expansion opportunities consistent with The Waters’ vision and mission
  • Collaborates with leadership to develop short- and long-range objectives, meets budget and operating plan targets, and ensures quality of service delivery and regulatory compliance
  • Informs and collaborates with leadership, finance, and sales on the pricing models for home care service offerings
  • Collaborates with partners such as the University of MN Center for Spirituality and Healing and the Alzheimer’s Association

Management of Staff and Clinical Operations

  • Provides direct leadership and guidance to the Director of Health and Wellbeing and healthcare teams, in coaching, developing, and retaining a high performing team through motivation, focus, constructive feedback, and recognition
  • Develops, trains and maintains Waters branded Dementia Programming and other related Health and Wellbeing programs and systems
  • Assists in the management of the home care budget and collaborates with developing the budget forecasts for each community home care service for the following year
  • Collaborates with Operational Leaders and Human Resources for best scheduling and staffing models, recruitment, recognition, and enrichment processes
  • Monitors and assesses progress and development of each community home care service
  • Works in conjunction with the Executive Team to create market specific clinical/sales programs
  • Ensures compliance with all legal and regulatory standards within home care services
  • Provides collaborative oversight with Executive Directors on managing home care complaints

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • RN required and ability to become licensed in multiple states where The Waters operates
  • Regional leadership preferred
  • Experience with working with Dementia residents and programming preferred
  • Minimum 5 years in Senior Living or related (home health care, hospice, etc.) leadership role
