This is a full-time remote position focused on delivering high-quality therapeutic services to elderly patients. You will play a crucial role in assessing and addressing complex mental health issues prevalent in the geriatric population, ensuring optimal care for our clients.

Work Environment
This position allows for a fully remote work setting, providing flexibility while ensuring that you remain connected with our supportive team. Our working hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the potential for occasional evening shifts based on the needs of our patients. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough and compassionate mental health assessments tailored to the unique needs of older adults, including cognitive and emotional evaluations.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic modalities, considering cognitive changes, physical health status, and social influences impacting the client's mental well-being.
- Provide individual and family therapy focusing on geriatric psychiatric conditions, applying proven therapeutic techniques to foster healing and resilience.
- Collaborate closely with geriatric psychiatrists, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care that integrates all aspects of a patient's health.
- Offer crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies for elderly patients, responding with empathy and professionalism to ensure patient safety.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment approaches, and available community resources, empowering them to engage actively in their care.
- Maintain meticulous documentation that adheres to legal and ethical guidelines within our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Engage in ongoing professional development through participation in team meetings, case consultations, and training sessions, contributing to a culture of learning and growth.
- Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in geriatric psychiatry to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your primary focus will be on the geriatric population, including elderly individuals experiencing mental health challenges related to aging. Issues such as depression, anxiety, dementia, and adjustment difficulties will be central to your practice. Our clinic's philosophy is grounded in understanding the intricate relationship between mental health and the aging process, allowing you to make a meaningful impact in the lives of your patients.
Qualifications
- A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
- A current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW in the state of Florida.
- At least two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, enabling you to bring valuable insights to our practice.
- In-depth knowledge of geriatric mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities is essential.
- Experience in delivering therapy to older adults, with a skill for building rapport and trust with this population.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, alongside a patient-centered, empathetic approach to therapy.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard computer applications for efficient documentation and communication.
- A team-oriented mindset with a desire to collaborate within a multidisciplinary framework to enhance patient care.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with crisis intervention strategies tailored to geriatric patients.
- Previous involvement in community outreach programs that support elderly mental health initiatives.
- Knowledge of local resources and support services for elderly clients.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary for this position ranges from $75,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
