Work Environment
Our center is an onsite facility designed to offer comprehensive rehabilitation services tailored to seniors. As part of our multidisciplinary team, the Occupational Therapist will work closely with physical therapists, speech therapists, and nursing staff to ensure a holistic approach to rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of residents to identify strengths and challenges impacting their ability to perform daily activities.
- Develop personalized therapy plans that target specific functional goals, minimizing barriers to independence.
- Utilize evidence-based interventions and modify approaches as necessary based on patient progress and feedback.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date healthcare documentation on resident assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive care and refer patients to additional services as needed.
- Conduct group activities and workshops that promote social interaction and cognitive engagement among residents.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The Riley Healthcare Center primarily serves seniors, many of whom experience challenges related to age-related conditions such as stroke recovery, dementia, arthritis, and other mobility impairments. We are committed to providing care that respects each resident's dignity and autonomy, focusing on enhancing their quality of life through tailored therapeutic interventions.
Qualifications
- Current Occupational Therapist license valid in Oregon.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a clinical or rehabilitation setting.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with seniors, particularly in assisted living or rehabilitation environments.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems to assist in documentation and patient tracking.
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy is highly preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
