The Dynamic Therapeutic Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) to join our vibrant team in Phoenix, Arizona. Work Environment
This position is designed to be fully remote, allowing our counselors the flexibility to connect with clients from the comfort of their homes. You will be expected to work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs. Our clinic utilizes advanced telehealth technology and electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline communication and documentation, ensuring efficient patient management.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments to understand the complex needs of elderly patients, considering cognitive decline, physical health issues, and psychosocial factors.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to each patient's condition.
- Utilize therapeutic modalities such as individual and family therapy to effectively address and treat geriatric mental health disorders.
- Collaborate with geriatric psychiatrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive and cohesive care.
- Provide crisis intervention to elderly patients during mental health emergencies and facilitate access to appropriate support systems.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health challenges and treatment pathways, ensuring they are informed and empowered in their care journey.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records as per all legal and ethical guidelines, enhancing accountability and continuity of care.
- Participate actively in team meetings and case discussions to enhance practice quality and share knowledge of best practices in geriatric mental health.
- Stay updated with the latest research and trends in geriatric psychiatry to continuously improve treatment strategies.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The primary focus of this role is to provide specialized mental health services to the elderly community. Your work will involve assisting patients who encounter various psychological challenges, including but not limited to, depression, anxiety disorders, dementia, and adjustment issues associated with aging. You will play a crucial part in enhancing their quality of life through dedicated support, compassionate care, and therapeutic interventions.
Qualifications
- A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Arizona.
- A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, preferably with a focus on geriatric patients.
- Demonstrated understanding of geriatric mental health issues, treatment modalities, and patient intervention strategies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, emphasizing a patient-centered approach with respect for the elderly.
- Experience in engaging effectively with families and caregivers to foster supportive environments.
- Proficiency in EHR systems and digital tools for documentation and patient management.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in providing therapy to older adults, specifically in settings that focus on chronic illness, cognitive decline, or psychiatric disorders.
- Knowledge of community resources and support systems available for elderly populations to enhance patient care.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this position ranges between $75,000 and $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Alongside competitive compensation, our benefits package includes:
