This is a full-time, remote position based out of our outpatient office in Saint Petersburg, Florida, offering a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, as well as additional benefits including a sign-on bonus.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments for a diverse clientele of senior citizens, documenting their individual needs and challenges.
- Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions focused on emotional resilience, coping strategies, and support for life transitions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals—including nurses, social workers, and primary care providers—to create comprehensive treatment plans that address the multifaceted needs of elderly clients.
- Provide education to families and caregivers on promoting emotional well-being within their loved ones, tailored to cultural and individual preferences.
- Deliver specialized grief and loss therapy for residents and families navigating end-of-life issues, helping them find closure and understanding.
- Implement cognitive stimulation strategies and mental health initiatives aimed at enhancing cognitive function and emotional health among elderly individuals.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will primarily work with senior citizens facing unique mental health challenges such as bereavement, anxiety about aging, depression, and adjustment issues related to major life changes. Your efforts will directly contribute to enhancing the mental health outcomes of a vulnerable population, key to our mission at Advanced Behavioral Therapy Center.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
- Current valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida.
- A minimum of four years of proven experience in geriatric counseling, demonstrating the ability to support elderly clients effectively.
- Strong understanding and application of evidence-based interventions that cater to the mental health needs of seniors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering meaningful connections with elderly clients and their families.
Preferred Experience
- Additional training or specialization in geriatric mental health, including familiarity with age-related disorders such as dementia or depression.
- Background in providing counseling services specifically centered on elderly client needs.
- Experience working collaboratively within healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes.
Compensation and Benefits
