We are seeking a dedicated and fully licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Medway Therapy Clinic, based in Phoenix, Arizona. This full-time remote role is ideal for a compassionate professional who is committed to enhancing the mental health and overall quality of life for elderly patients. Work Environment
Our fully remote work setting allows for flexibility while fostering connectivity among team members through virtual meetings and collaborative platforms. We operate from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some evening shifts required to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments specifically designed to identify the unique needs of our elderly patients, taking into account cognitive and physical health factors.
- Develop and execute individualized treatment plans that leverage evidence-based therapeutic interventions, ensuring that they address the complex challenges facing older adults.
- Provide therapeutic interventions such as individual and family therapy sessions to tackle psychiatric conditions prevalent in geriatric patients.
- Collaborate effectively with geriatric psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver an integrated, holistic approach to mental health care.
- Offer support and crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, ensuring a reassuring presence for elderly patients and their families.
- Educate patients and their caretakers on mental health conditions, therapies, community resources, and potential treatment pathways.
- Maintain precise and confidential documentation in alignment with ethical and legal guidelines, using our electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary case consultations and professional development sessions to foster your own skills and those of the team.
- Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in geriatric mental health to continually enhance your practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This role focuses primarily on the geriatric population, addressing diverse mental health concerns ranging from depression and anxiety to dementia-related conditions. Qualifications
- A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Arizona.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of geriatric mental health disorders and treatment modalities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling the establishment of trust and rapport with elderly patients and their families.
- Proficiency in EHR systems and computer applications to document patient progress and manage treatment data.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience working in mental health, particularly with older adults.
- Experience providing both individual and family therapy sessions.
- Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and strategies appropriate for the elderly population.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
