Work Environment
Our Early Interventional Center offers an onsite work environment where the Occupational Therapist will interact closely with patients and team members. The standard working hours are weekdays from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent schedule. The role demands active participation in team meetings and collaborative care planning efforts, emphasizing a community-oriented approach to therapy.
Key Responsibilities
The Occupational Therapist at Eisner Healthcare Center will assume a range of critical responsibilities, including:
- Creating and managing personalized treatment plans that reflect each patient's goals and challenges.
- Delivering targeted therapy sessions to enhance the mobility and cognitive functions of residents, employing evidence-based techniques and best practices.
- Monitoring patient progress and making necessary adjustments to care plans to ensure optimal recovery trajectories as patient needs evolve.
- Maintaining accurate documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and to facilitate optimal communication across the care team.
- Using electronic health records (EHR) to document patient interactions and treatment outcomes efficiently.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The primary clientele consists of older adults, including those with various age-related conditions such as stroke, dementia, arthritis, and post-surgical recovery. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for geriatric care and an understanding of the multifaceted challenges faced by this population. You will be an advocate for our patients, working closely with them to achieve their rehabilitation goals in a compassionate manner.
Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following qualifications to be considered for this position:
- Valid and active Occupational Therapy license in Oregon.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- At least two years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably with a focus on geriatric patients.
- Comprehensive understanding of electronic health record systems and their application in clinical settings.
Preferred Experience
While not required, preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate:
- A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
- Experience working in a senior care or assisted living environment.
- Certification in specialized treatment modalities relevant to older adult rehabilitation.
Compensation and Benefits
