Work Environment
This role is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to manage your schedule while ensuring that you provide convenient access to mental health care for our clients. You will employ telehealth technologies, including virtual counseling platforms, to conduct assessments and therapy sessions. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments for elderly clients, identifying their specific psychological needs and implementing appropriate care strategies.
- Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to address common emotional concerns such as grief, anxiety, and depression associated with aging.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to create comprehensive, individualized care plans that align with the therapeutic goals of our senior residents.
- Provide education to clients, their families, and other staff members on enhancing emotional well-being and strategies for managing the challenges of aging.
- Offer grief and loss counseling, specifically addressing the emotional needs of residents and family members experiencing end-of-life issues.
- Design and implement cognitive stimulation programs and interventions to improve mental acuity and overall cognitive health in elderly clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our primary focus is on the geriatric population, comprising elderly individuals navigating the complexities of aging, including life transitions, loss, and mental health disorders. Our services are designed to foster emotional recovery and resilience in clients dealing with age-related challenges, such as dementia, depression, and loneliness.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from a school accredited by recognized institutions or universities.
- Current and valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credentials.
- A minimum of four years of recent experience providing mental health support and counseling specifically to elderly individuals.
- Specialized training or continuing education in geriatric mental health, with a strong understanding of age-related psychological conditions.
- Proficiency in implementing evidence-based interventions tailored to enhance mental well-being among elderly clients.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for effective engagement with elderly individuals and their families.
- A high level of empathy, cultural competence, and a non-judgmental approach to therapy, ensuring respect for diverse client backgrounds.
- Experience in conducting comprehensive assessments and creating personalized treatment plans based on individual client needs.
- Knowledge of ethical and legal standards related to geriatric mental health counseling.

Compensation and Benefits
This full-time position offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 65,000 to 95,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition, you may qualify for a sign-on bonus as part of your employment package. Our benefits include:
