Calm Serene Health Care Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our remote team. This full-time position focuses on providing high-quality mental health care to elderly patients experiencing various psychiatric conditions. You will leverage your expertise to enhance the psychological well-being of our geriatric clients while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.

Work Environment
This position is remote, allowing for flexibility while ensuring effective engagement with patients. Despite the remote setting, you will maintain a close connection with our outpatient office team located in beautiful Boston, Massachusetts. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient care needs. Our collaborative model emphasizes support and teamwork among mental health professionals, specialists, and administrative staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments to understand the unique challenges and needs of older adults, considering their cognitive, social, and physical health variables.
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans that cater specifically to the complexities of geriatric clients.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, offering both individual and family therapy, particularly tailored to address geriatric psychiatric disorders.
- Work closely with geriatric psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for our clients.
- Respond to mental health crises with appropriate intervention strategies, ensuring the safety and support of elderly patients in need.
- Educate patients and their families about psychiatric conditions, treatment options, and available community support resources.
- Maintain thorough and confidential documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Engage in ongoing team discussions, case consultations, and participate in continuing education to enhance professional skills and team cohesion.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This role is specifically geared towards supporting geriatric patients, who may experience a wide range of psychological concerns, including mood disorders, memory-related issues, and significant adjustments to lifestyle changes. Your work will significantly impact their quality of life, fostering mental health resilience and support through tailored therapeutic approaches.
Qualifications
- Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- A current, valid license as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in Massachusetts.
- Strong working knowledge of geriatric mental health conditions, evidence-based treatment strategies, and therapeutic modalities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering a compassionate, patient-centered approach to therapy.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience working with older adults is preferred.
- Experience in delivering both individual and family therapy tailored to the geriatric population.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and comfort in utilizing relevant digital platforms for patient management and documentation.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this position ranges from USD 75,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
