Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments for elderly residents to determine care needs, utilizing evidence-based techniques and best practices.
- Provide both individual and group counseling sessions tailored to address the emotional challenges faced by seniors, focusing on aging, grief, and life transitions.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to formulate comprehensive and personalized care plans that align with the unique needs of geriatric clients.
- Facilitate family education sessions to empower loved ones with strategies to promote emotional well-being and enhance the overall quality of life for elderly individuals.
- Implement specialized grief and loss counseling sessions to assist residents and families in navigating end-of-life issues, ensuring compassionate support during difficult times.

- Utilize appropriate clinical documentation and reporting systems to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in geriatric mental health counseling.

Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
- A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) designation in the state of Massachusetts.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in geriatric counseling and mental health support.
- Specialized training or certifications focusing on geriatric mental health and aging-related challenges.
- Proficiency in delivering therapeutic services tailored specifically for seniors with diverse mental health complexities.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based interventions that promote mental wellness in elderly clients.

Compensation and Benefits
